Boney barks and continues to wag his tail, licking at Enzo's hand.
"My name's Fuel," the little boy says. "Me and Dad were real excited when Lucas said we were coming over to his house, weren't we, Dad?"
The man holding the 2x4 nods with a gruff sort of smile and says, "I'm Lighter. And Lucas told us Wess here was the guest of honor."
"It's a good thing for Lucas to be able to take care of his house and bother to put up with an old man like me as well," Wess admits, unsure if he wants a big deal to be made out of all of this.
But he knows the hard work Lucas went to and it is supposed to make them comfortable, so he's going to enjoy it however he can.
"And now that we're here, we can start getting food," Lucas says, reaching over to scratch Boney with Enzo.
