New Pork City

With a great KSSSSSSSSH! the limo lands at the entrance of Master Porky's neon haven, New Pork City. The streets are lined with lively distractions and familiar faces, the people of Tazmily bustling about at the cinema or the arcade.

Boney nudges his owner's hand with his nose, giving him a comforting lick. Kumatora puts a hand near her eyes, scanning the area. Duster fiddles with a wall staple, itching to move but wanting to stay still.

Lucas soaks it all in, frowning faintly.

"Bye!" Dinah waves cheerfully and tries the next (women's) door.

Bringing them to the next hallway. Off in one end, some sort of overflow has happened. That or someone spilled a puddle sufficient enough for a fish to splash about in.

This hallway of bathrooms carries the sensation of quiet tension, like an animal breathing down the back of your neck.

Autor crosses to the edge of the puddle and blinks. "What do you think?" he asks. "Should we open the door here?"

The fish takes great care to flop on Autor's feet. Water continues to flow from under the door.

But then, the bathroom next to it emits a soft, rumbling growl.

"What on earth was that?" Duster asks.

"Major plumbing problems?" Enzo readies his sword.

"Ew," Autor tells the fish, clearly disapproving of its life choices. He turns to the rest. "Get ready; we might need to fight past here to progress."

Ping! goes the door, as Autor opens it. Inside, he spots a single white present--and then he yelps, stumbling backward.

Out bounces a monstrous pink beast with impossibly-short legs and teeth as long as one of the boy's skinny arms. Its mouth takes up more than half its body, its wings and devil's tail flicker menacingly, and... there's a bird perched on its head, and a button on its back.

Ping! A yellow exclamation mark appears above its head, and the monster charges, teeth bared and gaze hungry.

"Oh heck!" Lucas yelps himself.

Boney bolts, leading the way through another ladies' room door that Kumatora's left open. Kumatora, however, rushes forward to help Autor out.

"Time to go, Glasses," she says before hauling him away.

"Back to the status quo!" says Enzo, guarding their rear.

"At least you know where you stand with these."

Dinah takes the front, of course, and charges forward to meet the beast - or at least to appear to meet it before dropping to the ground and sweeping a leg towards its own tiny stumps.

Oh it's this human again. Well, not gonna get the drop on- wait, what? The Ultimate Chimera's massive mouth slams shut as body meets floor. He growls, a rumble loud enough to be mistaken for a nearby plane. He tries to get his leg stumps under his body again.

When he does, however, his tail is pinned by a wall staple.

Autor, for his part, sags against a nearby wall, as far away as he can get from the thing without presenting himself as a target. Kumatora is his cover of choice.

"S-So can we k-kill it?" he asks, hands shaking.

"We fought it before," Lucas says, by which he means Dinah fought it before and she's the only reason they stand any chance now.

"We can stall him," Duster answers, arming himself with more wall staples. "Find the way out."

"Got it!" Kumatora calls, one hand on the door and one arm guarding Autor.

Enzo moves to the side of the door, ready to poke holes in anything which might come through the other way.

Kumatora wrenches it wide open to a thankfully empty (save for Boney) and much shorter hallway. Inside is a single door.

"In we get, guys," she says, ushering Lucas, Enzo, and Autor in.

Meanwhile, the Ultimate Chimera lurches up again and gives a great roar in Dinah and Duster's faces, shaking the hallway.

"Yeah, yeah, I get the point."

Dinah doesn't spare a glance for her friends: she knows they'll be fine. She just rolls to her feet and vaults over the back of the chimera, playing both her hands on the button as she does so.

And the Ultimate Chimera slumps to the floor, this time to stay down.

"Might be worth it to fetch whatever he was guarding," Duster says, carefully limping past the creature to the bathroom it came from.

On the other side, Lucas opens up the door to a very large, lavish private bathroom, complete with a gold toilet.

"The pissing statues are a little much," Kumatora comments.

There. Are. No. Words.

Autor tilts his head at the ridiculous bathroom, searching for Non-Ultimate Chimeras or other monsters.

Then he turns to Kumatora. "Um. Ladies first?" he says, almost joking. "I'll cover you."

He'll try not to cling to her like a burr.

Kumatora doesn't even think he's trying.

"Look, it's been a long day and I'll admit it's kind of sweet but I don't need a pet right now," she jokes right back.

"Kumatora, don't tease him," Lucas goes as he and Boney walk through the private throne room.

"Those statues," Enzo says as he follows, "had better not come to life."

Wouldn't that just be the icing on the urinal cake?

"Er, sorry," Autor murmurs to Kumatora, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Of all the places to hold a maze, why bathrooms?" he says, plodding across the floor. "Anyone see a way out?"

"And this is why I always make sure I go before a big mission," says Dinah, standing at the back of the group as she rotates each ankle. "I'd be pretty uncomfortable if I hadn't."

She is being helpful!

"Anyone have to go while we're here?" Duster asks, rejoining the group.

After a general shaking of heads, Duster gives Lucas what was found in the bathroom holding the Ultimate Chimera.

"I think it helps your PSI," he explains about the small but awesome looking ring.

Boney barks near the back wall, scratching at a door.

"Good boy, Boney," Autor murmurs, once they reach the door. He presses his ear up against it carefully. "I don't hear any growling."

Boney comes over for pets at that, tail wagging.

The group finds a stairwell behind the door, forcing them upward once more. Awaiting on the next floor is a pink seashell fashioned into a house with a small mouse sitting nearby.

"Guess this is Locria's house," Kumatora comments, stepping forward to open the door.
