New Pork City

With a great KSSSSSSSSH! the limo lands at the entrance of Master Porky's neon haven, New Pork City. The streets are lined with lively distractions and familiar faces, the people of Tazmily bustling about at the cinema or the arcade.

Boney nudges his owner's hand with his nose, giving him a comforting lick. Kumatora puts a hand near her eyes, scanning the area. Duster fiddles with a wall staple, itching to move but wanting to stay still.

Lucas soaks it all in, frowning faintly.

Enzo swears and leaps between Autor and the moldyman, slicing at it with his sabre and hoping it'll be effective on something like this.

"Autor!"

Dinah glances up at Lucas, checking that he's got his healing going okay. With Enzo attacking the moldyman, she uses another kick to dispense of the other roach before it can make things worse.

In a short time, everything has been dispatched and Lucas is at work healing the group.

"Everyone okay?" Duster asks.

Autor can't answer Duster until Lucas works his magic, but even afterwards, he offers a blind, meek nod to the question.

"Those," he wheezes, cleaning off his glasses, "are foul. How many are left?"

"Two more at least," Kumatora comments. "Everyone hangin' in there?"

"Absolutely revolted and wondering how I'm gonna clean my sword, but fine."

Autor lays his palm on a nearby wall, bending his elbow to lean on it. "I'll live," he spits, peering around to check on everyone else.

Dinah just shakes her hair out of her eyes. She's fine.

"Let's get those two out of the way, then."

The next two moldymen were easily dispatched, though not completely without trouble.

"You gotta watch out, Glasses," Kumatora quips as she helps pick Autor up from his graceless trip.

Lucas was about to say something just as Boney barks. He presses on, leading the way with Duster right behind as the sewer gives way to a strange, small sort of apartment complex.

There's an abrupt halt when everyone piles in, however. A person is standing in the middle of the room, his legs bound by a ball and chain. He's so tall that his head and upper torso go clear into the next story.

Boney barks more urgently.

"Whoa. And I'm used to being the tall one. Who's this?"

"Well, we're not going to find out down here," Autor says, craning his neck.

"I have a flying carpet, but it'll only carry two of us," he murmurs. "There should be some--ah, good. Stairs, up ahead and to the left."

Sure enough, he hears Boney barking from that direction, too.

"Want to head on up?"

Lucas, Duster, and Kumatora hurry to Boney, having recovered from their surprise and eager to head up the stairs.

"(The stink bug got away from me,)" Boney explains to all who can understand him. "(But never mind that. Look who I found!)"

At the top of the stairs, the group is finally face to face with the incredibly tall man. He turns to them, long face and gray hair under an old brown hat and behind a pair of spectacles.

"Leder?" Duster asks.

"Ol' Beanpole?" Kumatora adds before heading over. "Why would they lock you up? Got somethin' against bell ringers?"

Dinah left Enzo and Autor to the carpet, and raced up behind the others. She hangs back behind the group, biting her lip in concern as they greet him.

"You know each other?"

"He's the town bell ringer in Tazmily," Duster says.

Leder presses his lips into a line for a moment.

"Are you all right?" Lucas asks him, healing him with his PSI in case he needs it.
